I am already an iPhone fan so honestly it didn’t take a lot to convince me I “need” a new iPhone. Currently I am still rocking a first-gen iPhone.  I love the thing, but its getting a bit long in the tooth. The battery isn’t great anymore, but more importantly, there wont be anymore firmware support for the old girl. So far I haven’t had a good reason to upgrade.  Sure those 3G/3Gs owners have had GPS and 3G, but largely those were not reason enough for the large amount of cash I’d have to part with. Now, getting the new iPhone 4 is no way essential to my survival, but damn I want one. It has a number additions/improvements that would be great to have.
